New Album CD and DVD A New Hallelujah Due October 28th

Michael's new album titled A New Hallelujah is scheduled to be released on October 28th. Both a CD and DVD video will be produced from the concert recorded live in June at Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. 12 July 2008

Michael Recording Live Album in Concert June 20 Houston TX

Michael is recording his next new album at a live concert event in Houston, Texas on June 20th. The free concert will be held at Lakewood Church. Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm. All seats are general admission (no tickets needed) and are available to the first 16,000 people. 01 June 2008

Michael Wins Two Dove Awards

Michael W. Smith received two awards at the 2008 Dove Awards ceremony on April 23rd. His latest Christmas album titled It's a Wonderful Christmas won the Dove award for Christmas Album of the Year. Michael won another Dove award for his work on Glory Revealed in the Special Event Album of the Year category. 24 April 2008

The Gospel Music Association has annnounced that Michael W. Smith has been nominated for 3 Dove Awards for the following recordings: It’s A Wonderful Christmas nominated for Christmas Album of the Year Be Lifted High nominated for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year (this song is from the Stand album and was co-written with Leeland Mooring) Glory Revealed nominated for Special Event Album of the Year (this is a multi-artist project with Michael along with Josh Bates, Steven Curtis Chapman, David Crowder, Mark Hall, Shawn Lewis, Brian Littrell, Trevor Morgan, Paul Neufeld, Candi Pearson-Shelton, Mac Powell, Shane & Shane, and Mac Powell) The 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be presented at 7 PM on April 23, 2008, at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville Tennessee. 16 February 2008
