Michael Begins Filming for The Second Chance Movie
|
|
Michael W. Smith begins filming today (September 29th) for his lead role in the new movie The Second Chance. He plays a character named Ethan Jenkins. Michael has been taking acting classes in preparation for the film. The movie is scheduled for a 2005 release.

New Album Healing Rain Set For October 26th Release
|
Michael W. Smith's new album Healing Rain is scheduled to be released on October 26th. The title track single, Healing Rain, has been released to radio stations and is currently on the air. According to Michael, Healing Rain is a continuation of where he left off after his This Is Your Time project. The albums released since This Is Your Time were specialty projects ( Freedom, Worship, Worship Again, and 20 Year Celebration ). Over 30 songs were recorded for the Healing Rain project and the final release will have about a dozen of these songs including Here I Am, Live Forever, and a re-make of the classic Bridge over Troubled Water.

Michael W. Smith is scheduled to perform his 9/11-inspired song There She Stands live at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, September 2nd in New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Michael W. Smith presented a live performance of his 9/11 inspired song There She Stands Thursday night, September 2nd. Michael's performance was immediately prior to New York Governor George Pataki's introduction of President George W. Bush who officially accepted the 2004 Republican Presidential nomination. A new video showcasing There She Stands was created for this event.
