NFL Unhappy
with 2004 Super Bowl
Halftime Show

This year's Super Bowl halftime show was regarded by many as offensive and in poor taste. NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue has responded with this statement:

"We were extremely disappointed by the MTV-produced halftime show. It was totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the content of the show."

"The show was offensive, inappropriate and embarrassing to us and our fans. We will change our policy, our people and our processes for managing the halftime entertainment in the future in order to deal far more effectively with the quality of this aspect of the Super Bowl."

-------------------

My Comments:

The 2004 Super Bowl halftime show was excluding the largest group of all: Families.

The NFL is now primed to get back to traditional entertainment that would be both family-safe and entertaining.

I view this as a great opportunity to let the NFL Super Bowl Committees know that multi-platinum and three-time Grammy winner Michael W. Smith would be a perfect addition to the next Super Bowl entertainment lineup. He has a variety of music that is both family-safe and entertaining to a multi-generation audience.

Since Super Bowl 2005 will be here in my city, Jacksonville Florida, a patriotic theme would be fitting, especially since we have two large Navy bases here.

Let's do what we can to bring back high quality, inspiring, and family-safe entertainment to the Super Bowl halftime show! Let the NFL and Fox Broadcasting know about Michael W. Smith.

Each individual action you take, be it sending a letter, an email, or spreading the word about this campaign is a vote to bring better entertainment to future Super Bowls.

Cast your vote(s) today!

We need your help to spread the word about this campaign to the NFL, network officials, and others across the nation!
